Book Review: The Great Gatsby

I'm pretty sure that this blog of mine is going to be a book review platform from now on. So let me get on with it! The Great Gatsby, lovely. A classic worth remembering and reading. However, as I read it this time around, I found myself really hating Gatsby. When I read the book in high school, I don't remember that so much. But Jay Gatsby, kind of a tool! Nick Carroway... You can be my boyfriend!

Book Review: Ulysses

What a writer. James Joyce is a genius. This book was so difficult to read, but I could not take my eyes off of the words. I would not recommend it just because I think there are better ways to spend your time when it comes to reading. Joyce has an incredible way with words and descriptions. The story was not my favorite, but I have nothing but respect.

Goals

Here's the deal. I decided last year that I was going to take on the challenge of reading the 100 greatest novels of all time by the time I am 30. I love to read and since getting a Kindle for Christmas, I am on a roll. The problem with reading the 100 greatest novels of all time is there is more than one list out there. I thought I had decided on one but I changed my mind after finding this list. This is the "Modern Library" list. I am sold on this one! Here goes nothing... Many many book reviews to come!
